“When I return from China, things go cheap” – Verydarkman vows to gadget sellers

Verydarkman, a controversial social media critic, has accused local vendors of taking advantage of customers and promised to lower device costs in Nigeria when he returns.

He claimed in an internet video that many device sellers purposefully increase prices even though they source their goods from China at significantly lower prices.

    How gadget vendors raise prices is revealed by Verydarkman.

According to him, products like chargers and power banks are sold in Nigeria for up to five times their true value. “Many people who work in the gadget industry make us merely pray,” he said. “Power banks of N36,000 here go for N6,000 in China. The original charger, which they sell for N15,000, only costs N1,200 there.

Verydarkman promises to bring down the cost of devices.
Verydarkman argued that the majority of so-called “UK-used” phones are actually imported from China, challenging the notion that anything created in China is phony.

He promised that once he returns from China, he will ensure Nigerians have access to affordable gadgets, saying, “Una don milk Nigerians too much, this exploitation must stop.”

“A lot of Una wey dey for gadget business make Una just dey pray, because anything wey make me touch that country, a lot of things go cheap; Una don milk Nigerians too much. When I hear the price of original power banks for here, I shake my head. Power bank of 36K, you go see am here for 6k, 7k. Original charger of 15k for Nigeria na 1200k, 1300k. This people will first advertise that anything made in China is fake, but them go behind go bring everything in from China. example is UK-used phones. All those UK-used phones, na China them dey bring am from. Despite the tax, how them dey take bring phones from UK? Another way wey you go know say na lie is to check the population of UK. How many wey them dey wey dem dey bring phones wey de serve the whole of Nigeria…”
