A housewife was charged with threatening to kill her ex-husband.

Temitayo Adefioye, a 38-year-old housewife, was charged with threatening to kill her ex-husband, Akintomide Oladotun, at the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan.

The prosecution, Insp. Olagoke Adegbenro, informed the court during the case hearing that the defendant had committed the crime on August 13 in Badeku, Ibadan. He claimed that in order to be@t up, the defendant hired thugs.

In order to hurt Oladotun, they also brought gasoline and acid inside his compound. He said that by sending her ex-husband various threatening texts, Adefioye acted in a way that was likely to disturb the peace.

According to him, the offenses were against Sections 351, 86, and 249(d) of the Oyo State 2000 Criminal Laws.

The defendant was granted N100,000 bail and two sureties in the same amount by the magistrate, Mrs. Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair.

After ruling that the two sureties had to be the defendant’s blood relatives, she postponed the hearing until December 9.
