“We are used to hardship, govt isn’t doing anything about it” – Singer Zlatan laments
Popular Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, has publicly criticized the Nigerian government for not addressing the country’s residents’ increasing economic difficulties.
The “Zanku (Leg Work)” crooner was disappointed by how Nigerians had adapted to adversity during an interview with Madame Joyce in the UK.
He claimed that because the government still disregards their hardships, a lot of people have come to accept suffering as the norm.
‘Suffering and Smiling’ Culture
“We are used to it, s¥ffering and smiling, that’s how it has always been and the government isn’t doing anything about it,” Zlatan stated.
The rapper was responding to British rapper Dave’s satirical comments about Nigerians who spend lavishly in clubs while beggars struggle outside.
Zlatan admitted that inequality and hardship have become a sad reflection of life in Nigeria.
Call for Personal Responsibility
He also highlighted another side of the issue, noting that some beggars have grown entitled, relying solely on alms instead of exploring opportunities to improve their lives.
Zlatan urged the less privileged to look for productive means to earn a living, stressing that personal effort is as important as government intervention.
The music star, who remains a strong voice in youth culture, said Nigerians must balance self-reliance with their demand for accountable leadership to build a better nation.

Sophia made it clear that her daughter is doing well, is in good health, and is growing up in a caring and loving home.
The mother of one revealed that she has been the child’s primary caregiver for the past five years, covering all expenses except school fees, which have been handled kindly by the child’s paternal grandparent.
Addressing claims about child support, Sophia stated:
“I haven’t received any child support from Davido, but our child knows no lack. She is growing in a safe and loving environment and is very happy.”
He also said that she has given up all past and future child support claims and is fully responsible for her daughter’s financial needs.Sophia also mentioned that her daughter has a good relationship with both parents and asked people to stop putting her child in fake stories online.This comes after someone said she stopped their daughter from going to Davido’s 33rd birthday party in Atlanta.Sophia Momodu’s message shows that a child’s happiness and safety should always be the main concern, and that gossip on social media should never take away from love, support, and responsibility.

Netizens have been divided as to whom initiated the fight and who got the worse beating.

Reacting to the viral footage, Xxssive mocked Verydarkman, suggesting that his physique did not match his perceived strength.
He argued that Mr Jollof acted out of self-defense, adding that anyone in his position would have fought back with equal force.

Burna Boy sets record as first Nigerian artist with five Grammy album nominations
Burna Boy, a.k.a. Afro-fusion superstar Damini Ogulu, has accomplished yet another incredible accomplishment.
He is the only musician from Nigeria to receive five album-related Grammy nominations in his career.
At the forthcoming 2025 Grammy Awards, his most recent album, No Sign of Weakness (2025), is a nominee for Best Global Music Album.

The winners of the 2025 Grammy Awards will be announced next year in Los Angeles.
