Uche Ogbodo reveals she did BBL surgery for her mental health

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has revealed why she went under the knife for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). The mother of three explained that she struggled with body image after childbirth and wanted to feel confident again.
Speaking in an interview, the actress said she was not satisfied with her body after her third baby. According to her, the surgery was a personal decision for her mental health, not for anyone else.
She explained that the body enhancement helped her regain happiness and confidence, insisting she owed it to herself to feel good and enough in her own skin.
Choosing transparency over secrecy
Unlike some celebrities who keep cosmetic procedures a secret, Ogbodo decided to speak openly. She stressed that transparency was important to her as a role model.
She noted that many women suddenly show up with new bodies but fail to admit they had work done. For her, honesty was the best way to inspire women who lacked confidence.
Ogbodo further shared that she underwent three cesarean sections, which affected her physique. According to her, surgery helped restore her figure and self-esteem.
Social media reactions
Oyoro4 said: “Women use to gain confidence from reading and becoming the best in their field or profession. Some learn to speak very well and gain confidence from there but Nigerian women feels the best confidence booster is Bbl and skincare products!!”
Treazyblaq wrote: “If getting a BBL will boost your self-confidence, by all means go for it, I support that. The real issue is when the proportions don’t match your thighs, because then it becomes more distracting than enhancing.”
KemkemCrypt reacted: “I don’t blame her. The society are so unfair to women who have given birth and lost their shape, I don’t blame them cause they know nothing about a woman’s body. But I will always say if you have the resources and due to your line of job you need to enhance your body to remain in business there’s nothing wrong.”
