Pastor Adeboye advises Tinubu, “Take out terrorists and supporters before US military strikes.”
Before any possible US military intervention, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has encouraged the Nigerian government to take urgent action to eradicate terrorists and their financiers.
The priest made the comments at Friday’s November Holy Ghost Service in response to recent concerns about Nigeria’s security issues made by US President Donald Trump.
Adeboye suggested that President Bola Tinubu give the recently appointed service chiefs a three-month deadline to eliminate terrorists and those who support them, threatening to have them quit if they did not comply.
“Now is not the moment to assign blame. Adeboye stated, “This issue was inherited by our President; it began before him.”
He recalled that he had previously advised the late President Muhammadu Buhari in private to take swift action when the number of killings increased, but Buhari chose not to do so.
“Some of you will remember who called the service chiefs together and said, ‘I give you three months, get rid of all these Boko Haram people or resign.’ He acted on that advice, but three months passed, and the work was not done,” he said.
Adeboye stressed that this time, the government needs to make sure that service chiefs are held responsible for not just killing terrorists but also for going after their backers, no matter how powerful they may be.
This time, he continued, “we should make it clear to the service chiefs that they are to remove the terrorists and their backers, regardless of how powerful they may be.”
Before external countries step in, Nigeria must fight decisively and comprehensively against terrorism, targeting both militants and their financial backers, as Pastor Adeboye’s warning emphasizes.

A Nigerian man has taken to social media, revealing the next spot bandits hit after the church attack in Eruku, Kwara State.
It would be recalled that tragedy struck on November 18, 2025 after gunmen stormed the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku.
A .survivor told TVC that the attackers opened fire just minutes into the evening service, killing three people and abducting about 38 congregants, who have been released.
