Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are my “troublesome buddies.” Olamide
The renowned Nigerian rapper Olamide Baddo has talked candidly about his friendship with Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid, three other Afrobeats giants, calling them “troublesome buddies.”
Olamide, in Yoruba, stated during his appearance on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope Olajide on Monday:
“My buddies Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are simply too disruptive. These guys are cool; it is just that sometimes people cannot agree on a lot of things, and that is okay.
Unexpected Partnership with Wizkid Olamide also talked about his recent partnership with Wizkid on the popular song Kia. He disclosed that when he played Wizkid a couple of unreleased songs from his album during the video shoot, their collaboration came about on its own. Actually, that was not how we had planned it. I was simply playing some songs from my record for Wiz on set, and it was only intended to be Kia. Then Billionaire’s Club came on. He was immediately drawn to it and demanded to participate immediately,” Olamide stated. He thanked Wizkid, describing him as “a solid person” and lauding his friendship and support. Olamide’s Afrobeats Legacy and Vision Beyond friendships, the discussion focused on Olamide’s remarkable ten-year career, which included over 10 projects, international tours, and partnerships with musicians such as Dr. Dre. As a music executive, Olamide has nurtured some of Afrobeats’ biggest stars, including Fireboy DML, Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Young Jonn, and Asake.
“No matter what your life goals are, you should never make fun of God. “People should not undervalue the extent of the Lord’s goodness and grace,” he stated. Olamide also disclosed that his own difficulties in obtaining opportunities early in his career are what drive him to help up-and-coming musicians.
Sophia Momodu, who was once in a relationship with Davido, has addressed some untrue stories about their daughter Imade. She shared a detailed message on her Instagram story to set the record straight about what’s really going on. Sophia made it clear that her daughter is doing well, is in good health, and is growing up in a caring and loving home.
The mother of one revealed that she has been the child’s primary caregiver for the past five years, covering all expenses except school fees, which have been handled kindly by the child’s paternal grandparent.
Addressing claims about child support, Sophia stated:
“I haven’t received any child support from Davido, but our child knows no lack. She is growing in a safe and loving environment and is very happy.”
He also said that she has given up all past and future child support claims and is fully responsible for her daughter’s financial needs.Sophia also mentioned that her daughter has a good relationship with both parents and asked people to stop putting her child in fake stories online.This comes after someone said she stopped their daughter from going to Davido’s 33rd birthday party in Atlanta.Sophia Momodu’s message shows that a child’s happiness and safety should always be the main concern, and that gossip on social media should never take away from love, support, and responsibility.

He took to his Instagram page to ridicule Verydarkman following the viral fight.

Netizens have been divided as to whom initiated the fight and who got the worse beating.

Reacting to the viral footage, Xxssive mocked Verydarkman, suggesting that his physique did not match his perceived strength.
He argued that Mr Jollof acted out of self-defense, adding that anyone in his position would have fought back with equal force.
His remarks added fuel to the already heated online discussion, as fans of both men continue to trade words over the altercation.
The cause of the dispute between the two public figures remains unclear, but the confrontation has dominated social media conversations since the footage emerged.

Burna Boy sets record as first Nigerian artist with five Grammy album nominations
Burna Boy, a.k.a. Afro-fusion superstar Damini Ogulu, has accomplished yet another incredible accomplishment.
He is the only musician from Nigeria to receive five album-related Grammy nominations in his career.
At the forthcoming 2025 Grammy Awards, his most recent album, No Sign of Weakness (2025), is a nominee for Best Global Music Album.

These nominations mark yet another proud moment for the continent as Afrobeats continues to dominate global charts, with Nigerian artists leading the charge.
The winners of the 2025 Grammy Awards will be announced next year in Los Angeles.
